Shoulder Bag !
I've decided to go over some bags of mine. Short reviews and +/- for each of them ... Hope it can help you make a wiser decision if you need to get one for yourself !!
Because it's not always about hiking or high mobility and sometimes you just need to blend in... camera shoulder bags often offer the best alternative.
Back in 09, Senior at Rider University, I discovered the Domke F-2B shoulder bag at the B&H store in NY. So far I only had a smaller lower Pro slingshot 200 (a review is coming next). For some time, I was looking for a different shape and more discrete camera bag. I like the shape of the bag - it made me think of camera bags used by reporters and journalists.
So I went for it !
Made in the USA, the bag is well made. Seams are tough and you already feel that this bag will last for a long time. The fabric is ballistic nylon but I personally call it "dragon skin" (cf photo). It can endure dust, rain and even other projectiles .. (I tried it in one of the many demonstrations which occurred in France :) )
The interior is sober and uncluttered. Space is divided in 5 squares. One main section for the body + a lens on and 4 little ones for lenses and accessories. (cf photo). I regret the absence of a device to attach a tripod.
As its name tell us it's a shoulder bad..... accessibility to your stuff is awesome.... though ... you have to carry the weight on one shoulder - after a couple hours or a long walk it hurts.
I used this bag for parties or socials events... where a photo back pack is just not appropriate :)
I have had this bag for 4 years now and I am really happy with it.
I Hope you liked it ! You are welcome to comment and give your advice.
If you want more info / photos just tell me !
